Sustainability policy

A sustainability policy probably isn’t something you’d expect to see from a one man band photographer. But I have been committed to sustainable development (meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs) from a very early age. Concern for the environment and protecting it for the future should be integral to our everyday lives at work and at home . My aim is to reduce the impact on the environment in everyday operations by questioning actions taken and assessing ways to improve.

I continuously assess the environmental impacts of operations and make informed decisions in order to improve environmental performance.

These include:

  • promote responsibility for the environment

  • reduce the use of energy, water and other resources;

  • minimise waste by reduction, re-use and recycling methods;

  • comply with all relevant environmental legislation/regulation;

  • ensure that our policies and services are developed in a way that is complimentary to this policy;

  • not prioritise financial gains ahead of sustainability requirements;

  • identify and provide appropriate training, advice and information for colleagues and suppliers and encourage them to develop new ideas and initiatives;

  • promote and encourage involvement in local environmental initiatives/schemes.
